"ChakraHarmony" By Kenny Balagna The concept of this chakra balancing CD incorporates the primary tone of each chakra and also adds the fundamental naturally occurring harmonic overtones to each one. It utilizes the naturally occurring harmonic overtones for each chakra note. The idea is to stimulate the chakras on more subtle levels than mere stimulation of the fundamental tones. This is an innovative and unparalleled concept into balancing and cleansing the chakras. What is a Chakra? The word chakra is a Sanskrit word, which is derived from the verb car ("to move"). There are several literal meanings of chakra:  wheel  circle  center Besides the literal meaning there are also some esoteric meanings:  The Chakra denotes the "wheel of becoming" (bhavacakra), or "round of existence" (samsara), which is the phenomenal cosmos.  The word Chakra is used to refer to a circle of initiates in a Tantric ritual.  A Chakra is a diagram used to determine the right kind of mantra for a particular situation or student. The word Chakra refers to the psychoenergetic vortices forming the major "light organs" of the body composed of life energy (prana). These esoteric structures are also often referred to and graphically depicted as "lotuses" (padma, kamala). Consider some of the language used to describe the Chakras:  as a flower  as a whirling vortex of living energy  as a point object emitting vibratory energy  as a pulsation in the human energy field  as nerve complexes or ganglia There are seven basic vibratory rates (bodies) which we use to progress from very basic energies to the very highly developed superhuman levels. Short Description of the Seven Chakras There are seven major chakras, or centers of psychoactive energy, in the human body. They are usually listed either top-down or bottom-up depending upon the agenda of the writer. The fact that the seven chakras are aligned along an axis running vertically through the body provides a natural geometry on the chakras. Here they are listed from the top-down. 7.sahasrara or crown chakra--violet------------------musical note B 6.ajna or third-eye chakra--indigo--------------------musical note A 5.vishuddha or throat chakra--blue-------------------musical note G 4.anahata or heart chakra --green---------------------musical note F 3.manipura or solar plexus chakra--yellow----------musical note E 2.svadhishthana or sacral (navel) chakra--orange---musical note D 1.muladhara or root chakra--red-----------------------musical note C Chakra One--Root: Earth, Physical identity, oriented to self-preservation Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. It governs our physical body, physical health and vitality. Ideally this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence. Chakra Two--Sacral: Water, Emotional identity, oriented to self-gratification The second chakra, located in the abdomen, lower back, and sexual organs, is related to the element water, and to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement, which also controls clear thinking and creativity. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change. Chakra Three--Solar Plexis: Fire, Ego identity, oriented to self-definition This chakra is known as the power chakra, located in the solar plexus. It rules our personal power, will, ambition, autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power. Chakra Four--Heart: Air, Social identity, oriented to self-acceptance This chakra is called the heart chakra and is the middle chakra in a system of seven. It is related to love, feelings and our connections to others, the Universe and to life itself. It is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace and centered-ness. Chakra Five--Throat: Sound, Creative identity, oriented to self-expression This is the chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication, personal magnetism and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language. Chakra Six--Third Eye: Light, Archetypal identity, oriented to self-reflection This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing and or visions, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us "see the big picture." Chakra Seven--Crown: Thought, Universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.
